Tropical 21 - Effective without frills

Awww, man!
Where did this tiredness all come about?
It must have been managing the company's booth in FHA 2010 and taking overseas guests around that took a toll on me...

I am even suffering from indigestion. Could have been all the rich food this past week and all the entertaining. Lobster medallion, roast lamb, oysters, peranakan food, you name it.

There isn't enough notice I can give to make a reservation in those spas in town. Shall seek comfort near home at Tropical 21 then.

Hurray! An appointment was made and there I was in the comforting hands of Rose, a very experienced healer, really. Having understood my complaints, she proceeded to lead me to the room. After I changed, her hands went to work on my back.

Tropical 21 is really not posh. Massage beds are separated by curtains and customers' noise and telephones can still be heard. But today, my aim was really to get relief for my aching back and troubled digestive system.

Rose proposed using cupping to ease my indigestion. Cupping has been found to cause tissues to release toxins, activate the lymphatic system, clear colon blockages, help activate and clear the veins, arteries and capillaries.

Cupping is an ancient Chinese method of causing local congestion. A partial vacuum is created in cups placed on the skin either by means of heat or suction. This draws up the underlying tissues. When the cup is left in place on the skin for a few minutes, blood stasis is formed and localized healing takes place.

While this treatment left bruising on my skin, it felt right. After 5 minutes of cupping, Rose expertly kneaded my abdomen and even pulled up the flesh to provide relief. You could be skeptical here. But it really worked. B-E-LCH... Ahhh... ;)
I felt a lot more relaxed and later in the evening I was able to eat and digest better.

I opted for ear candling to get rid of my headache.

Ear candling (also called ear coning, and auricular candling or coning) is an ancient practice that dates back to the time of the Egyptians in 2500 BC. The exact origin of candling is unknown, but there is a great deal of evidence indicating its use in many different cultures around the world. Today, candling is a popular alternative therapy used to treat many ailments in the general vicinity of the head.

Aahhh... felt so good as Rose massaged my head, neck and shoulders as the candle continued to burn.

A cup of warm water ended my session at Tropical 21.

What I would recommend:
  • Rose's service
  • Full-body massage
  • Ear-candling
Go there to get an affordable therapeutic fix without the frills.

  1. Tropical 21 reject customer. The floor manager rejected me for a massage. The reason is he don't like me. He even mention CID saying can reject customer for massage. Anyone can comments on this.
